A Poem Starting with a Line by Stephen Yenser
Drip
Nervy, sparrow-like,
hair receding,
watery eyes,
milky brown,
tinny squeal in one ear,
hooked nose
like a hose that’s dripping,
thickened wrist,
her watch stopped ticking,
she’s counting days,
ignores the years,
a small child’s voice
in her head she hears.
