Found in Saturday Conversations at Fell House Gardens
We are
a taste of this –
of styrofoam cups
it’s always insane,
up on the ceiling and
under the floor,
empty in the middle
wherever that is.
He fell in love with
a drop of rain,
spikes of red
and yellow,
a good morning, a
coffee and a bun.
This town is
always insane.
It’s usable, but
needs a good clean.

All sorts. People in the garden; the carpark; the cafe; the gift shop; my husband. I’d walk near people with my iPhone’s record app turned on. Kept my phone in my hand. Couldn’t very well follow people with a pad and pen; they’d think I was a newspaper reporter. I adore Found poetry. I have a lot of it published with The Found Poetry Review, which sadly closed its doors last year.

Maybe one of these days I’ll get a smart phone… I bet the garden was very beautiful. There is a big push to use more recyclable paper in packaging and even straws. Some places recycle Styrofoam, but you have to clean it first.
I did have a pencil in hand. Easier to jot notes when sitting in a waiting room.
