0603: Spring Thoughts

drawing of daffodils ai

Catkins on the witch hazel
have grown long overnight.
Yesterday they were whispers.
Today they are sentences,
fringed and breeze-trembling,
each one a tiny, yellow question
hung out for the wind to answer.

And the birds still think I am morning.

  1. I too have been noticing the festoons of catkins signalling the advent of Spring, Marilyn – beautifully written…
Missed you on TTOT but I see you are here…

    1. I don’t understand why you’re not receiving notifications, Andrew. It’s most concerning.

It’s definitely spring. There are two pigeons on the lawn trying to jump on each other. (laughing)
