The Architecture of a Moment
Notes: Rooted in the oldest English tradition, Anglo-Saxon accentual verse follows the rhythm of breath and heartbeat rather than syllable or rhyme, where meaning is carried by cadence, image, and pause.
Architecture of a Departure
Farewell, summer’s geese,
their airborne hymn
and ragged prayers
of a hundred wings.
They glide on wind’s brassy song,
writing calligraphy
on autumn’s blue.
Formation.
Precision.
A sun-pierced silhouette.
Farewell, my feathered prow.
Lead on.
Lead on.
