In no particular order:
The Tate Modern: A lovely morning amongst mobiles, and children discovering the joy of things that seem to fly through the air. (read about it here)

Eating tomatoes and cucumbers from the greenhouse.

That the garden survived (quite happily) without me while I was visiting family in Virginia, although I am thankful that I’m not in Virginia right now: it’s 105F/40.5C there. I really suffer in that sort of high humidity heat.

The Tree. It’s in full mid-summer leaf. This is really a remarkable tree. One of nature’s treasures, and one to me also.

I am, and shall always be thankful (despite this, that and the other) that this beauty and peace is within walking distance — to ground and settle myself.

A very healthy crop of lavender that’s (so far) pest-free. I just noticed that the birdbath is tippy. I must fix that right now. (I’ll be right back ….)

This image is of what’s called a ‘ghost sign’ — they are many hundreds of years old, when advertising was painted (in lead paint which is why it’s still visible) on the side of buildings. This one is near Blackfriars in London. I’ve tried for the longest time to catch a shot of this ghost sign (it’s just beyond the rail tracks and down a narrow lane) but never managed to —passing trains blocking the view or my seating didn’t allow it. I’m thankful I finally managed it this week.

Train journeys in the rain. I love riding on a train—it’s relaxing; my brain unwinds and the constant rocking of the carriage is a lullaby.

Thankful for another challenge—that I’m venturing into soundtracking my poetry … (although tackling the concept of historical foundations, philosophical implications, and contemporary relevance of Anima Mundi was easier.) I think I should start paying myself …

10 … and finally, (while listening to amazing music streamed live on the BBC from Glastonbury) for every last one of you.
