In no particular order:
1. Red squirrels are returning to the forest (once endangered). Saw one run along the fence a few days ago. They are very small; half the size of a grey squirrel. This photo is from last year; it’s just so you know what they look like.

2. Thankful for YouTube. It showed me how to fix the heating system, reset the whole bleedin’ thing, and get it working again. I should send a invoice to my husband for fixing stuff around here.
3. For a fireplace to warm up the house (when the heating system is throwing a tantrum, and it’s 0°C outside and 11°C inside). Winter. Pffft. Avaunt, thou cursed cold, and yield to spring’s embrace!
4. Wholeheartedly, thanks to my husband who refuses to do anything Valentine-ish. And it’s our 45th wedding anniversary on Sunday – no gifts. Dinner at my favourite restaurant—a good meal is a gift in itself.
5. For my fishmonger: fresh cod loin off the boat for dinner tonight; poached and served with dill sauce and also whole grain mustard sauce (béchamel with dried, crushed Danish mustard that’s extremely strong), new potatoes, and some veg.

6. Thankful that the heating is still working as it should.
7. Leftovers for lunch, so I don’t have to do more than heat something up. (This TToT seems to be focused on the word “heat”.
8. Still thankful that the heating is working as it should.
9. Full-fibre broadband installed last Monday, and it’s very fast. Unfortunately, the installer chipped a sizeable chunk of brick off as he drilled from the inside outward (because he wasn’t allowed to climb a ladder). It is now patched.
10 … and finally, to Denise for Six Sentence Stories and for these fun Ten Things of Thankful.
