19 Nov: Poem-a-Day Challenge

cello

Chance …

is drawing a bow across strings
and hitting the right note

or finding someone
that makes you remember that you

are flesh and fire

    1. Completely and utterly mesmerising. Thank you. I’m going to find them on Spotify right now.

  1. Flesh and Fire — wonderful imagery.

The only poem I ever wrote was a haiku I had an alien empress write in her despair in my RITES OF PASSAGE set aboard a steamer in 1853:

    “Dreams drift like clouds

I reach to touch the moon

    I grasp but empty night.”

The number of syllables are off, but then she was born in another dimension — cut her some slack. 🙂
