14 Nov: A Thursday Door

This church in Dijon, France, is the Église Saint-Étienne de Dijon (Church of Saint Stephen of Dijon). It’s a historic church that was originally built in the 17th century. The façade you see here, with its baroque architecture and detailed sculptures, is characteristic of that period. The church is no longer used for religious services; instead, it now serves as an exhibition space.

Bushboy (Brian Dodd) shares photos of doors, but not just any doors. Spectacular doors from his journeys. Dan’s Thursday Doors opened the door on this. I love doors of all sorts. I’ve trawled through my photos and found a few to share.

    1. It’s an odd one. Sitting there completely out of place now, on a corner. It looks like time pushed it out of the way.

  2. I love the geometric pattern of the panels on those doors. It does look a bit out of place, but I’m glad to see it as found a new purpose.
