It's Still Life

Ten Things of Thankful 15-24 September (in no particular order)

1. An ancient woodland within walking distance.
2. The worst of the potholes were filled while I was in France.
3. Like-minded friends.
4. Begonias and dahlias still blooming.
5. Tomatoes in the greenhouse are perfectly ripe.
6. Tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches on homemade sourdough.
7. That I don’t have to beat laundry against a rock at the stream.
8. My car’s annual insurance premium didn’t increase.
9. That my husband agreed to read the “Argument”.
10. The best 9-day-long birthday ever (although it’s the first time I’ve celebrated my birthday for 9-days) … next year I might try 10.
