17 June: Found Poetry of Ragnarök

viking rune stones with words Ragnarök
Sartr as Primordial Fire, flames horned, forest burning

Poetic Form: Tanka 5.7.5.7.7 – st. 46-51 pg 141

Surtr – The Primordial Fire

Who are these three maids
they fly over homes of men.
The Norn. They are Fate.
Guardians over the sea
Who wander a mothers’ path.

But Surtr shall come
with his thirsty sword-of-flames.
He is South, and comes.
Is he to hold Thor’s hammer
when Dark-Surtr’s sword is slaked.
