Living In Our Skin
Packed lunch and tea.
Today it’s spring.
These days pass
faster than starched clouds,
as fast as sea air
howling in its shroud.
We feel sharp as paper
touched by fresh air.
And we bring home
blushed cheeks, seashells,
and sand in our shoes.

Seashells in my pocket are OK, I guess, but blushed cheeks and sand-filled shoes are two reasons I always try to avoid accompanying My Beloved Sandra to her beloved beach. Fine work, Misky.
