A delicious quadrille. I’m a bit of a cheese monster, so one of the things that I miss about living in France is the wonderful variety of their different cheeses. We have some excellent cheeses in the UK, but the choice is not quite so good.
We’re rather monstrous, too. When we’re in Denmark, we buy a half wheel of Gamle Ole, which if left alone and ignored, will squeak away across the table. He’s a right little stinker. In France, we always stop at Carrefour. I buy a crock of mustard, Peder buys … yes, cheese. If you want a Christmas treat, perhaps La Fromagerie might help. Online shop with delivery. https://www.lafromagerie.co.uk/buy-cheese It’s a wee bit pricey, but it’s cheaper than flying to France. 😂
Some are, but if you have a sore gum, Gamle Ole will make you wince. I love the stuff on dark seedy rye bread. Another good one, and very old, is Paxton and Whitfield’s in London. They also deliver. https://www.paxtonandwhitfield.co.uk
I was thinking that the cheese maker didn’t really want to give up his cheese?
When we write – or submit a verse or story it is like giving up a part of ourselves.
I thought your head to toe person might have been a little full of themselves with all the knowledge you gave them?
