It's Still Life

Lightning Strike

It speaks.
A voice
in the near distance.

A sudden visitation of
lightning that
vanishes.

A flash
like a wandering
thought.

It breaks the air. 
Such are its
libertine ways.

And it roars like a lion,
then a heartbeat,
              low and warm.
