Aphidoidea
Tongue nor heart cannot conceive
nor name thee! But I shall.
This black woe, winged grief
upon my lupines.
Aphidoidea of black and
white and green fly.
Aphids ushering
catastrophe, and
ants in their lechery
farm you like sows’s milk.
Like night noise.
And come morning,
rain knocked those jewelled
purple spikes to the ground.
The image is my own from the garden. I’m going with Miz Quickly’s calendar again today. For June 18: Start with a Line from Macbeth. Macduff: Tongue not heart cannot conceive nor name thee! Macbeth Act 2 Scene 3. Shared with @Miz-Quickly and @Experimentsinfc #APoemADay on Twitter ©Misky 2021

Those lupins look lush. 🙂

They’ve recovered a bit now, and I have a vase full of those that collapsed. Not all is lost!

Ah, I know what you mean. Aphids here and too much rain. Starting to look better though.
Your poem is perfection.
