It's Still Life

Balancing Teacups

It’s a balancing act.
That tottering sunshine-bright teacup
     balancing on your knee, or
that void between wakefulness and nod,
     when your head snaps back, and it chooses
     awake.
And life, of course, pretty much all of it.
