dVerse Quadrille #57

Off a Duck’s back

Here’s another list of
water off a duck’s back.

The sun’s glare, and
crow’s feet.

Rain
on your picnic.

Anything that’s faux.
My memory.

Ice cubes that melt too fast.
Tepid tea.

Armpits
dark with sweat.

Rain
on your glasses.

Tip-of-your-tongue words, and
rain.

  4. I so enjoyed your rain quadrille, Misky. I love the title and there was so much on the list I can identify with, especially:
Ice cubes that melt too fast.
    Tepid tea.
Rain on your glasses (at school the boys used to tease me by saying I needed windscreen wipers!).

  6. I hate it when it rains on a picnic. I feel like everything is spoiled and soaked.

Both can spring surprises as they can be most unpredictable!

  8. Yes…tepid tea is the worst! You have given us a wonderfully random selection here to relate to. Fun to read.
