dVerse Quadrille #56

A Broad Song

Always in motion,
this broad and singing dawn.
Robins nibble seeds
and fatten on raisins,
muddle over fat grubs and
a nub of bread.
Magpies dress in tuxedoes.
Wrens in brown weave.
The air is motion –
dandelion fluff bright
as whirly-spins
against the sun.

  1. LOVE the description here…I’m right there in the middle of this delightful scene! Especially love the magpies in tuxedoes complimented by the wrens in brown weave. Smiling I am over my second cup this morning….I do think I’ll go sit outside under the cherry blossoms! 🙂

  4. Lovely piece, I particularly liked ‘broad’ in the dawn and the title, and the lovely closeup lift into the sky at the end.
