    Your piece reminds me of a new word I learned today:
    Cic·a·trix : ˈsikəˌtriks/ noun 1. the scar of a healed wound. A )a
    scar on the bark of a tree. B) BOTANY C) a mark on a stem left
    after a leaf or other part has become detached.

    We all want the leaves to fall so they can be rake, but there will always be stragglers. 🙂
