A Photo For Cecilia

Cecilia at The Kitchens Gardens asks for a photo of where we write. Here is a fractional peek into my study. There’s a wall of bookshelves behind me, a large west-facing window to my right. Plus a lot of other stuff that wouldn’t fit into the viewfinder.

  2. Another Mac girl! I love your bookcases. Mine are in front of me, not behind, and I spend a lot of time gazing at them for inspiration…

    1. Mine are mostly reference books, which is sort of boring…

      1. I have a mishmash: novels, classics, reference, quilting, art, gardening. And the shelves are so handy for odds and ends too: a sextant, crystal eggs, a stone Buddha head… well, you get the idea. A visual mood board!

    1. It’s nice in the winter because it’s a bright room. A bit hot in the summer though.

  7. I love the mirror effect it adds light and a cosy feeling. Like me there is always a beaker in the picture, in my case it will be either coffee or hot water.

  8. Nice and tidy space and the mirror in front of you is a good thing. I never like to have my back to open doors, etc. A window next to you for light is wonderful too. I love the books behind you.
